Updated October 12, 2026. This page explains what Local Business Growth Snapshot does with information when you use it.
Completing the Snapshot
Local Business Growth Snapshot runs as a client-side assessment. Your business or organization type and answers are used in your browser to calculate the score and recommendations shown on screen. You can complete the Snapshot and see the full result without creating an account or entering an email address.
Optional emailed results
After viewing the full result, you may ask to receive a copy by email. That optional form collects your email address and may also collect your first name and business or organization name. The requested email includes a result summary, scores, recommendations, relevant resources, and service links. It does not include your raw question answers.
Optional results conversation
The emailed-results form includes an unselected checkbox asking whether you would also like to talk through your results. If you do not select it, the requested result is sent to you and no separate follow-up notification is sent to Alexander. If you select it, Alexander receives a separate notification with your contact details, Snapshot type, overall score, strongest area, primary and secondary areas, and the three recommended action titles so he can follow up about that request.
Email delivery and service providers
Requested Snapshot emails and follow-up notifications are sent through Resend. Resend and the underlying email infrastructure process message and delivery data as needed to transmit, secure, troubleshoot, and document email delivery. Those providers may retain operational records under their own policies. The application does not add an open-tracking pixel or marketing tracking to the requested email.
No account, database, or marketing subscription
The Snapshot does not create an account or use an application database to save assessment answers or emailed-result requests. Requesting an emailed result does not subscribe you to a marketing list and does not create a contact record in a separate customer relationship system. Email and hosting providers may still keep the operational records described above.
Contact form submissions
The separate contact form is available before or after the assessment if you choose to send a note. It collects your name, email address, and message; your business or organization name is optional. That information is used to review and respond to your inquiry.
Technical requests, security, and analytics
Like most websites, hosting infrastructure may process standard request information such as IP address, browser type, device information, requested pages, timing, and basic diagnostic logs for reliability, abuse prevention, and security. The emailed-results endpoint uses a temporary one-way representation of the request address for low-friction rate limiting. Ahrefs Web Analytics measures page visits and interactions without analytics cookies. The Snapshot sends named events for assessment starts, first completions, successful PDF, copy, or email saves, and contact-intent clicks or requests. A completion event includes a broad time range; save and contact events include only the action type. No raw answers, scores, names, email addresses, messages, or emailed-result payloads are sent in these custom events. Ahrefs may also measure outbound link clicks automatically.
Other third-party resources
The site uses Google Fonts for typography. When the page loads, your browser may make requests to Google for those font files, and Google may receive standard technical information such as IP address and browser details as part of that request. Your choice
You may use the complete Snapshot without sharing contact information. If you request an email or contact Alexander, provide only the information you are comfortable sending. You can contact Alexander Gartley with a privacy question using the email link below.
